Intent to Enroll Period Begins May 13th through June 13th

Kidinnu Academy will be a TK-5th school, however in 2019-20 we will open the school serving TK-3rd grade only. Next year 2020-21, the school will serve TK-4th grade, and the by the third year, we will serve TK-5th grade. Every parent interested in registering their children in grades TK – 3rd must first fill out an online  Intent to Enroll form for each child. Kidinnu will be accepting Intent to Enroll forms beginning May 13th until June 13th. If the number of Intent to Enroll forms received for a grade is more than capacity allows then a lottery will occur on June 19. The lottery will take place at Bostonia Baptist Church located at 1025 N. Second St. in El Cajon at 6 pm. Parents/guardians must be present to accept placement. If one sibling is selected from the lottery, the other siblings will also be placed, if space permits. School registration packets will be available on June on 19th after the lottery at Bostonia Baptist Church. Please ensure all vaccinations, physicals, and dental records are up to date. Parents will have two weeks to submit a complete a school registration packet to hold their child’s placement.

ستتكون أكاديمية كدينو المراحل من الصف TK الى الصف 5. ولكن في السنة الأولى لأفتتاحها من السنة الدراسية 2019-2020 ستشمل الأكاديمية على الصفوف من TK الى الصف 3 فقط. وفي العام الدراسي التالي 2020-2021 سيضاف الصف 4 وبحلول السنة الثالثة سوف نضيف الصف 5. يجب على كل ولي أمر راغب بتسجيل أطفاله في الصفوف TK الى الصف 3 أولاً ملء استمارة الرغبة بالتسجيل لكل طفل. سوف نبدأ بقبول استمارات الرغبة بالتسجيل ابتداءً من 13 أيار حتى 13 حزيران. إذا كان عدد استمارات التسجيل أكثرمن سعة الصف المسموح بها فسنقوم باجراء قرعة عشوائية في 19 حزيران وستقام القرعة في كنيسة بوستونيا المعمدانية في الساعة 6:00 مساء على العنوان ادناه: N 1025 N. Kidinnu Academia será una escuela de TK-5, sin embargo en 2019-20 abriremos la escuela sirviendo solamente TK-3 º grado. Próximo año 2020-21, la escuela servirá TK-4º grado y por el tercer año, servimos TK-5 º grado. Todos los padres interesados en inscribir a sus hijos en grados TK – 3 deben primer llenar la forma de intención de inscribirse para cada niño. Kidinnu estará aceptando intenciones de inscripción comenzando el 13 de mayo hasta el 13 de junio. Si el número de formularios de intención a de inscripción recibidos para un grado es más de la capacidad permite entonces una lotería tendrá lugar el 19 de junio. La lotería llevará a cabo en la iglesia de Bautista de Bostonia a 1025 N. San segundo en El Cajón en 18:00. Padres deben estar presentes para aceptar la ubicación. Si un hermano está seleccionado en la lotería, los otros hermanos también se colocará, si el espacio lo permite. Paquetes de inscripción de la escuela estarán disponibles junio 19 después de la lotería en la iglesia de Bautista de Bostonia. Padres por favor asegúrense de que todas las vacunas, exámenes físicos, y registros dentales están hasta la fecha. Los padres tendrán dos semanas para presentar un paquete de inscripción completa para mantener la ubicación de su hijo.

Our charter school petition is being reviewed. Cajon Valley School District will vote to approve or deny the charter school at a meeting. Your attendance at the meeting is very important for the approval of the charter. “Kids Can Do” Interdisciplinary Themes of Inquiry

The Kidinnu curriculum will be organized around seven themes of inquiry. Kidinnu has created the Kids Can Do themes in alignment with Kidinnu’s mission and vision. The themes will have a global, “big picture” significance for all students in all cultures, and offers students the opportunity to explore the commonalities of human experience. The themes will be supported by knowledge, concepts and skills from the traditional subject areas, but will transcend the confines of these subjects, thereby contributing to an Interdisciplinary model of teaching and learning.

The “Kids Can Do” interdisciplinary inquiry is organized around seven themes of inquiry:

  1. Knowing Our Place in Space and Time
  2. Relating to Our Self and Others
  3. Exploring How Things Work
  4. Caring for Our Surroundings
  5. Making Connections
  6. Expressing Ourselves Creatively
  7. Discovering Innovative Solutions

The “Kids Can Do” themes will be adopted and, in correlation with the California Common Core State Standards and frameworks, Core Knowledge Sequence, and Kidinnu’s Expected School-wide Learning Results (ESLRs). Students will develop a deep understanding of basic and important concepts; they will conduct research into knowledge with local and global significance; they will acquire and practice a range of essential skills; they will be encouraged to develop positive attitudes toward learning, the environment and other people; and, they will have the opportunity for involvement in responsible action and social service, and in developing innovative solutions.

Kidinnu Academy will focus on meeting the needs of our target students and their community. The Kidinnu program will focus on the development of the whole child. It will be a trans-disciplinary curriculum, which draws individual disciplines together into a coherent whole, while preserving the essence of each subject, and striving to develop a global perspective.

Kidinnu Academy believes an educated person in the 21st Century must possess the following skills and attributes, and will support student learning to achieve high levels of:

Academic Proficiency: the academic understanding of concepts that include the scope of state and national standards in the major subject areas.

Communication Skills: the ability to communicate ideas effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in more than one language.

Research Skills: the aptitude to access, process, manage, interpret, question, validate, and act upon information.

Technological Proficiency: the knowledge of the software and hardware required to research and present information in a variety of media.

Interpersonal Skills: the social skills necessary to cooperate, make group decisions, resolve conflicts, and identify group roles in order to work effectively as a team.

Intrapersonal Skills: the ability to be aware of one’s own learning, reflect upon personal strengths/weaknesses, and identify and execute the steps necessary to achieve growth.
